Cricket was once again on display at the 2nd Annual IPS Indianapolis Public Schools Super School Wellness Festival on April 26.
The Produce Mom and Radio Disney are partners with the IPS to bring such great event to the community. This is focusing on the critical connection between physical activity, good nutrition and learning. More than twenty-five groups, including the Marion County Public Health Department, American Red Cross, Nine13 Sports, Indianapolis Monumental Marathon, Boys and Girls Scouts and many other leading organizations in Indiana participated in this festival with activities and information for the entire family.
USYCA Cricket Sets were on display with Indiana Youth Cricket answering questions and promoting youth cricket awareness during the festival.
During this event Boomer, mascot for the NBA’s Indiana Pacers, tried his hand at some cricket batting skills, along with the children. Thanks to event’s main sponsor, Radio Disney Boomer’s participation was broadcast live on 98.3 FM.
Wellness Festival event host Katherine Langdon, IPS Program Director and lead Instructor for IPS school cricket program continues to promote health and wellness matters for youths by all means, especially where a sport offers to grow youth particpation.
