USYCA Donor Named USACA 1st Vice-President

Michael Gale, who last week contributed $500 to USYCA, has been appointed First Vice-President of the United States of America Cricket Association (USACA), it was announced today. Rafey Syed of Illinois was named Second Vice President.

In the USACA statement, Gale stressed the critical role that youth cricket must play in developing the game.

"We need kids to play and we need to have the right infrastructure. Absolutely," Gale said. "All the regions (affiliated with USACA) can work with each other... We would like to see growth in all the regions and aiming for the youth with a very strong Under-16 boy's team and strong women teams at all levels of the game... Just look at soccer - build the structure and participate."

"This is a commitment of multiple years," said Gale.

The entire announcement can be found here.

USYCA looks forward to working closely with Gale and other leaders at USACA to develop youth cricket in the United States.
