(As announced last month, IYC has partnered with Indiana University to train and supply PE teachers in our great game.)
From Jatin Patel of Indiana Youth Cricket:
"Overall 74 teachers received a USYCA American Cricket Champ set, along with an Indiana Youth Cricket training media which will help them to learn and coach cricket, as a guide and good resource for handy reference). More schools were added in June (63 at this PESI event on June 19) which makes close to 100 for the year (we had 23 schools by the end of May). IYC's planned goal was to reach 100 schools by the end of 2012 here in Indiana, and there are still 25+ schools in talks for thier cricket sets and training.
We are expecting that over 60,000 children will be exposed to cricket in Fall of 2012 here in Indiana, and PE teachers will be able to continue cricket education for many new students every year and many years to follow.
Also, we are confirmed to continue similar participation during 2013 summer PESI."
Here's a video of the teachers getting their sets.
Great work, Jatin!
