USYCA MEMBERSHIP RATIFIES CONSTITUTION
Glen Burnie, MD - On July 19, having received the affirmation of an 11th affiliate organization, the United States Youth Cricket Association announced that its first constitution had been ratified. The foundational document required that two-thirds of its 16 affiliates vote for ratification before the document took effect. The USYCA's first election of officers is now set for August 18, as prescribed by the constitution, with committees to be organized and staffed shortly thereafter.
Interim President Jamie Harrison said, "The ratification of the USYCA constitution represents another significant milestone in our development as America’s national youth cricket organization. With this accomplished, we can now address practical issues of governance, and create devices whereby we can maximize our ability to grow youth cricket in the United States. Now it’s time to get to work."
