On Wednesday, USYCA President Jamie Harrison, assisted by Treasurer Michael Thomas, introduced the USYCA Schools Program to Baltimore City Public Schools Physical Education teachers. Before the presentation began, Jessica Ivey of the BCPS delivered a ringing endorsement of the USYCA program, after which the teachers were divided into three groups for rotation through the USYCA presentation. The presentation was received with great enthusiasm by the teachers, who asked many questions about cricket, after which they got the chance to play a quick game inside the gymnasium. Many of the teachers went home with Crickids posters and cricket-bat pens, courtesy of Cricket Australia. Teachers who request inclusion in the program will receive their cricket equipment at another in-service event in September.
