The Boys & Girls Clubs of Indianapolis (http://www.bgcindy.org/) which serves over 8,000 local youths per year, is now partnering with Indiana Youth Cricket to bring our great game to its children. IYCA will provide resources and coaching for local club children to learn and play the game of cricket.
Rick Whitten, Executive Director, and Nina Gondola, Director of Resource Development of Boys and Girls Clubs of Indianapolis, welcomed the USYCA youth cricket program with excitement; several clubs are already working with Indiana Youth Cricket to start the program.
Rodney E. Bussell, Site Director, and Alicia Collins, Program Director of BGC Indy, hosted their first cricket camp last week (photos below).
“Boys & Girls Clubs of Indianapolis has been a presence in the community since 1893 and is a very reputable community organization when it comes to overall youth development,” said Jatin Patel of USYCA.
“We are excited to give their club members free cricket sets and training to launch the new sport cricket at their clubs. Children will have the opportunity to try and learn something new in sports. This will be great opportunity to serve and help local youth in an exciting way,” said Patel.
